Need clarity, a new perspective?

Therapy that truly moves you!

At Assaladou, we offer therapy retreats for individuals who long for change — real, embodied change. Many of our guests call it a game changer. Not because we offer magic, but because this is a place where something finally shifts. Where the noise quiets down, and your own voice comes through again.

Guided by Kim — a highly trained and experienced therapist with over 20 years of professional practice — this retreat brings together powerful therapeutic approaches. His work is rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and body-based, experiential methods. Everything unfolds within a calm, grounded environment, gently supported by the natural surroundings.

🧭 When you feel lost, this can be your way forward.

There are times when everything feels unclear — when burnout, grief, or long-standing patterns leave you emotionally stuck, tired, or circling the same questions. You may feel far from yourself, far from answers. This retreat offers a pause, and a gentle beginning. A time-out from the noise — and a time-in for real listening, for reorienting. With steady presence and therapeutic guidance, you’ll find space to untangle what’s been held too long — and begin to move, inward and forward, at your own pace.

🌲 This isn’t therapy as usual.

Sessions often take place outdoors — walking through the forest, sitting beneath trees, or beside a fire. This is walk-and-talk therapy, nature-based and intuitive. You won’t find group circles or rigid programs here. Just you, Kim, and a space for honest exploration.

💠 What makes this different?

✅ Personalised, intensive 1:1 sessions (2–3 hours/day)
✅ Focus on both emotional depth and real-life clarity
✅ Held by a therapist who truly walks his talk
✅ A nature-based setting that gently rewires your nervous system
✅ A time-out, but also a time-in: deeply reconnecting to your inner compass

Kim & Katrin

🌿 A Story of Its Own

Back in Belgium, they increasingly felt confined by the traditional format of office-based sessions in a conventional practice. What they truly longed for was an ideal environment for the experiential therapy they loved to offer.

Driven by this vision, they set out to find a green sanctuary — a place where people could stay longer, dive into multiple sessions, build real momentum, and let new experiences sink in deeply.

This mission led them, in 2011, to L’Assaladou — a peaceful retreat where they’ve since had the privilege of guiding many others… and where they themselves now feel utterly at home.
